Nearly all modern products need to be controlled, and this is usually done by introducing computing power into a given product – some of the chips in the electronics are programmable. With the advent of AI (follow link for articles), design demands on embedded electronics are rising. The EM can service all the needs no matter which classification needs fall into:
The EM has developed many projects with embedded technology. Please follow the Contact button if you have requirements.
RF electronics and its realisation on classic PCBs is set to become a hot topic: until recently it has been only those wishing to carry out activity very quickly that needed to consider it. Now, with advent of AI coupled with the availability of ASIC, it seems likely ever more will be expected of traditional PCBA designs. The answers probably like in the world of ASIC and efforts to raise the materials and understanding of RF in electronics – see RF article.
Implementing GHz signal channels on PCBAs is a road well trodden for the EM. Please feel free to contact us about your PCB RF challenges by following the Contact Us link button below.
Motor control, wiring harnesses and looms, and layout as shown in the figure are covered by the EM. We specialise in optimisation of such designs for EMC performance, an oft overlooked element since the components assessed individually can be fine. Considered design can:
It is critical to involve a reputable assembly company – EM has a suite of these that can be chosen as suits a given application.
Please contact us if you have specific requirements for designing cabinets, motor control, or EMC issues – using contact button below.
Many complex designs require highly skilled electronics design to filter and amplify signals such that useful information can be extracted, lock in amplifiers being an example – read Lock In amplifier article.
The lock in amplifier assists greatly with extracting signal buried in noise, but it is often also necessary to optimally filter (usually DSP) to achieve a goal – non-invasive blood sugar measurement being a good example.
If you have challenging signalling processing problems to solve, please feel free to contact us using the button link below.
There is a revolution taking place in electronics hardware, and it is tightly coupled with what will become imminent demands for AI. The traditional route to market of an orthodox PCBA only followed by ASIC design if finances allow is dying. Developing ASICs first time round is now the best route. The EM is working with Oxford Lasers and the University of Southampton in respect of this – we are very excited.
This technology can divide your electronics hardware costs by 10! If you would like to know more please use the Contact button below and/or read our article (ASIC Revolution) on the topic.
Clients don’t always come to us needing complete NPI product developments. The process of PCB layout is bread and butter to us, and we are happy to provide economic quotes for either updating existing layouts or re-laying them.
We use Altium but can organise layout in other packages if necessary.
We have an article – Layout Service – that you may wish to read. If you know your requirement for layout, please just use the Contact button below and we’ll respond to you quickly.
