IoT Compatibility Smart Electric Heater offering control through Apple Home Kit
Challenge: An exciting development undertaken when Apple Homekit was in its infancy (Apple Homekit is now just Apple Home). The challenge being to integrate the latest IoT technology into a heater (the client was using these heaters for churches at the time). The design and production was straightforward, but integration Apple Home was a long drawn out administration process. Coupled with this was the challenges with integrating hardware and software with the website/software.
Solution: The electronics design was standard. The Apple Home integration required hardware on the device and extended negotiations with Apple. Wireframes and clear software definition from a professional software house aided greatly in delivering the client’s requirements.
